HALO-8 ANNOUNCES PROGRAM FOR
"HALO-8: FILMS THAT KILL" FEST

- Weeklong run of Horror & Punk Films at Engine Theater in Hollywood -

"Halo-8: Films That Kill" at Engineering Cinémathèque
Created by Bizzurke Army at Studio1636

Los Angeles, CA, October 2, 2008 - Halo-8 Entertainment has announced the program for its "Halo-8: Films That Kill" theatrical run. As originally reported in The Hollywood Reporter (Sept. 30, 2008), the fest runs from Thursday October 23rd through Wednesday October 29th at The Engine Theater in Hollywood.

The program consists of seven films playing every day all week, including "PINK EYE," "THE DEVIL'S MUSE," "GIMME SKELTER," "PUNK ROCK HOLOCAUST 2," "THREAT," and "N.Y.H.C." The eighth film, Halo-8's controversial and critically acclaimed documentary "YOUR MOMMY KILLS ANIMALS," will be distributed on DVD to all attendees as a Halloween treat - free with admission.

Each night will be capped off by the unique "SLUMBER PARTY SLAUGHTERHOUSE: THE GAME," a hybrid film-screening/live-event that mixes pub-trivia with Rocky Horror-style 'Audience Participation.' Halo-8 is also throwing SPS screening/trivia-parties in NYC, Philadelphia, Austin, and Baltimore in October, with more cities to be announced.

Directors, writers, actors, and actresses from the participating films will be on-hand to chat with fans at the after-parties and try their best to win the trivia contests.

"The most important thing an indie movie studio can do is provide a sense of community for its filmmakers and fans," said Halo-8 president Matt Pizzolo. "Our roster of artists are cinema lovers who enjoy one another's films and love connecting directly with audience-members. Our job is to provide a venue for those connections to take place, and we think a redefined theatrical experience might be the best way to do that."
